TRAIN: The train Station is located at The Airport. Directions to the Station can be found in the Arrivals hall. Take The "Leonardo Express" straight to Termini Station. From the station you can take a taxi to the hotel. TAXI: If taking a taxi, make sure it is a registered taxi. Taxis in Rome are white, have a"TAXI" sign on the roof and have a sign on the side of the car. Taxis run meters and start at a preset amount which differs by time of day. Its better to get a taxi at a taxi rank and not take a car with someone who approaches you. if you do, make sure the price is agreed upon. TAXIS in Rome now have a standard charge from the Airport into the centre of Rome, which is 40 EUROS HOTEL TRANSFER: The Hotel will organize a car for you. It costs a little more, but the driver will be waiting for you at the Airport and the service will make your transfer to the hotel, less stressful. |

WHAT TO PACK Workshop materials and equipment are supplied. We ask you to bring your favourite brushes,and if you are an enthusiastic acrylic or oil painter, keep in mind to pack your painting clothes. Villa Madonna is located at 650 mteres elevation, so even in summer when the days are hot, the evenings can be cool, so layering is rthe key. Bring a small backpack or bag to carry your equipmment, water, sunblock etc for excursions. Pack shoes that are ideal for cobble stone streets and country lanes. |

VILLA MADONNA BUS A Local Company provides a 16 Seater,air conditioned bus with happy accommodating drivers to transfer you to and from Villa Madonna and on your painting excursions. FROM YOUR ROME HOTEL You will be welcomed on your first day by a member of the Villa Madonna team, and our bus will transfer you, with your group, directly from your hotel in Rome to Villa Madonna. DEPARTING VILLA MADONNA You will be transferred to Stimigliano station.From here you catch a train directly to Fiumicino Airport, into the centre of Rome or to Orte where you can make connections to towns and cities in the North such as Florence, Milan or Venice. |
