Villa Madonna is our home for six months of the year. The complex consists of a main house, and two small cottages, only meters away, all recently renovated.

Currently we can accommodate up to 12 guests comfortably (twin share) with access to 5 bathrooms.

Our panoramic covered terrace with views over olive trees and the countryside to the village of Cottanello, is where we serve breakfast, lunch and if the weather permits, dinner.

Inside the main house the lounge/dining room also offers superb views, and a fire place for the cooler nights.

Details:

The main house is composed of five bedrooms, two loft areas and four bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have en-suite facilitles.

The house has a full-size kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machines, upsidedown fridge freezer, large gas cooktop and electric oven. Next to the kitchen is a large loggia with an expansive view over the villiage to the valley below. It contains a wood-fired pizza oven, open barbeque and a table to comfortably sit 14

The stone cottages:

The restored three room stone cottage is situated below the main house with magnificent views to the village. On the top level is a small bedroom with two single beds. Adjacent is a sitting room with one single bed, tea and coffee making facilities, and the original fireplace. The bathroom downstairs is accessed by a spiral staircase, and has a shower, basin and toilet in what once was the cellar, which was carved into solid rock. Double doors open out to a private courtyard with views to Cottanello.

Restoration of a second stone cottage will be completed in early 2008.

Self Catering in the Cottage.

The cottage is available for a self-catering holiday. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, microwave and small refrigerator available in the cottage.

Minimum stay is two nights.

Bed & Breakfast

We have two self-contained rooms in the Main House each with its own separate entry, kitchenette and ensuite. The cottage as descibed above is also available.

Self Contained Room 1.

Has double doors leading out to a terrace with views over the olive groves and beyond to the town of Cottanello. It has tea and coffee making facilities, en-suite bathroom and a queen size bed.

Self Contained Room 2.

This delightful room sleeps three, and includes tea and coffee making facilities, en suite bathroom and double doors that open out to your own private shaded courtyard and entrance.

Availability

Bed and breakfast at Villa Madonna is available from May through September. Bookings need to be made at least one week in advance, please click here to email us or see the Contact Us page for a form based enquiry. The cost is Euro 80 for a couple, or Euro 60 for a single.

Full Service

If you would like a hassle-free holiday without having to cook, but don't always want to eat out in a restaurant, we can arrange for all meals to be prepared for you.

Whether you stay in the main house, or in the cottage, meals will be served in the open loggia, with fabulous views overlooking the village. We serve authentic dishes from the area, using local produce, and serve only local wines, containing no preservatives, with the meals.

We also supply all linen including sheets, bath towels and kitchen towels.

Group Accomodation

Villa Madonna has been designed to accommodate groups of up to 12 people with accommodation in both the main house and the cottages (a second cottage will be available from May 2008).

Acommodation is twin share. There are seven bedrooms, two loft areas for sleeping, and 5 bathrooms. We provide all meals and wine.

Downstairs in the main house is our artists studio, and we have materials available for use by painters, potters and those wishing to sculpt in clay. All tools and materials, including kilns can be made available for a group to use, so there is no need to carry everything with you.
